About Nayaa Chandaa
Nayaa Chandaa is a place for folk tales and illustrated stories, made in the spirit of the classic children’s storytelling tradition. The stories are meant for enjoyment, imagination, and gentle learning. They are works of storytelling, not statements of fact or advice.
Our stories and illustrations belong to us
The original stories, retellings, illustrations, artwork, characters, and design on this site are created by us and are protected by copyright and other laws. You are welcome to read them, enjoy them, and share links to them freely.
Please do not, without our written permission:
- copy, republish, or sell our stories or illustrations as your own;
- use our artwork or characters for commercial purposes;
- create merchandise, videos, or products from our content.
Teachers, parents, and librarians are warmly welcome to share our stories in classrooms and at home for non-commercial purposes. If in doubt, just ask us — we are friendly.
Traditional tales
Many of our stories are retellings of folk tales that belong to the shared heritage of many communities. Our particular wording, illustrations, and presentation are ours, but the underlying folk traditions belong to everyone.
Comments and things you share
If the site lets you leave comments or send us stories, please keep your contributions kind, respectful, and suitable for children, in keeping with our Community Guidelines. By sharing something with us, you confirm it is your own and give us permission to display it, and, in the case of a story, to retell or adapt it here with credit where appropriate. We may remove any content that does not fit the spirit of this site.
Using the site fairly
Please use Nayaa Chandaa only for lawful, peaceful purposes. Do not attempt to disrupt the site, misuse it, or harm other visitors. We ask this simply so the site stays a safe and pleasant place for children.
